Blokart have announced the early release of the strengthened blokart® sail.
The ‘cutting-edge’ R&D team at blokart International have been focusing on increasing strength and life expectancy of our sails when developing the 2010 model.
Retaining the current performance, so racers can still compete on an even playing
field, was paramount.
• Reduced size & weight of 2-ply head
• Spectra strengthened clear X-mono fabric
• Finger batten reinforcement
• Reinforced mylar leach
• 5mm scallop in trailing edge between battens to reduce flutter
• New battens ensure a more consistent sail shape
• New 4 batten 3.0m sail for higher speeds
• Stronger batten tension bungees to improve sail shape
The Ultra Downhaul is for use in conjunction with the 5.5m sail and Ultra Carbon mast
sections. The triple purchase pulley block allows you to effortlessly downhaul the sail,
even with the stiffest mast.
The quick release shackle does away with the ‘fiddley’ D-shackle and speeds-up rigging.
Tip: Use in combination with a blokart® Mast Crane for best results.
