BEACH:

Murlough beach is located at the foot of the Mourne mountains. Approximately 3 miles long of hard packed golden sand. This east facing beach is popular during the summer months.

DIRECTIONS:

From Belfast follow the A 24 to Carryduff. At Carryduff roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A24  towards Ballynahinch, Newcastle. At Ballynahinch follow A24 towards Newcastle. Onto A2 towards Newcastle. Once through Dundrum on A2 (dundrum bay on left) watch for lazy BJ Campsite sign on left. Turn into this entrance and go straight ahead into national trust car park. Beach is accesed via the gate in the left corner of the car park.

NOTES:

To access this beach there is a requirement to cross National Trust area.(approx 10 mins) Please obey the rules in place on site. Payment required for car parking during summer months.
